The Same Saturday Morning, Two Very Different Ways

Picture the same Saturday morning, twice.

What the swap actually costs

Often less than you'd think, and what you're getting was often picked or baked that same day. But the bigger difference is where the money finishes up: at a stall, it goes to the person who made the thing, instead of disappearing into freight and head office along the way.

Nobody's asking you to churn your own butter. The swap is one stall, once a week. Eggs from the place ten minutes north. Honey from the stall you always pass. The supermarket can keep the dishwasher tablets.
